England’s Old World charm has finally been recognized by savvy Las Vegas casino operators as new plans for an England-themed casino are revealed. The Ye Olde England Casino will capitalise on all things English and plans are in motion to make the £500 million dream a reality.
The casino will feature a restaurant offering a full English style menu with old favourites such as fish and chips, steak and kidney pudding and pie and mash.
Other English cultural treasures appearing in the casino will include red telephone boxes offering pastries and hot beverages, giant black cab covered refreshment booths as well as waitresses dressed in traditional English police helmets.
Sandy Marinez, Las Vega council official remarked, “It’s been a while coming, but so many of our visitors are from the UK this can only be a good opportunity.
Everyone loves your Royal Family and the polite nature of the people, so this is a project which is way overdue. Many other nationalities are already represented here.”
In fact almost half a million of British tourists are set to visit the Nevada gambling capital in 2014 and with casinos such as The Venetian and The Paris already proving a popular destination, Ye Olde England is expected to become yet another hotspot.
