Flavia Cacace, the professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing, has announced that she will be marrying her boyfriend Jimi Mistry, her dance partner from the 2010 series.
Cacace, who recently achieved her first ever victory on the show, announced the news to her Twitter followers. “Sorry I have been a bit quiet, wanted to wish you all a very happy new year. I’ve had a wonderful time and have some amazing news… All I need to say is @JimiMistry has made me the happiest girl in the world. Xxxx #engaged”
In response Mistry posted “You’ve made me the happiness [sic] man xxxxx #thankgodshesaidyes.”
The engagement is likely to take Cacace’s mind off the TV show for a while, where according to bookmakers she is ninth favourite to win with odds of 14/1. Anton Du Beke is favourite with odds of 6/1.
The couple have been dating since January 2011, shortly after they appeared together on the show.
Cacace was previously in a relationship with ex-EastEnders actor Matt di Angelo who she partnered with on the 2007 series of Strictly Come Dancing. Cacace has also been engaged to fellow Strictly Come Dancing dancer Vincent Simone.
