The Voice of Ireland is fast approaching the live shows section of the competition and of course as it grows closer the betting action is heating up.
Aisling Connolly from Tallaght made it through to the next stage of the competition in true style after a brilliant performance of ‘Cloud Busting’ by Kate Bush. Connolly made it through with Heather Stuart; unfortunately fellow Dubliners James Sheridan and Siobhan McNamara were not so lucky and won’t be taking part in the live shows.
At present Paddy Power has given Aisling Connolly odds of 25/1 to win, but there’s still a long way to go in the competition, and plenty of time for the odds to change. Stuart is doing a bit better at the bookmakers with odds of 16/1. Currently favourite to win is Jay Boland with odds of 5/2, followed by Kellie Lewis with odds of 3/1.
Aisling, a full-time singer and wedding church singer, has described her musical influences as including Lana Del Ray, Kodaline, Eva Cassidy, Van Morrison and Rihanna. She lives with her partner Jonathon and her 7-month old daughter Hannah.
