Spencer beat 621 other players in order to take home the first place prize of £125,000.

Spencer, a 20-year old player from Doncaster, has been in great form recently and his win comes soon after he won the Grosvenor 25/25 Main Event in Sheffield for £13,150 and came third in the £150,000 Guaranteed Deepstack Dusk Till Dawn for £14,000.

In the final table of the Main Event, Spencer was more than 2 million chips ahead of his nearest opponent Danny Blair. Other players at the table were James Rimmer, Deborah O’Connell, Paul Delaney, Charles Chattha, Allan Graham, Steven Sargent and John Haigh.

Spencer eliminated Rimmer in 4th place for £37,500 and then went on to knock out Paul Delaney in 3rd place before facing Danny Blair heads-up.

At the beginning of the heads-up battle Spencer had 13.8 million chips while Blair had just 4.8 million. However, Blair did manage to fight his way into the lead before he lost a 10-10 vs A-K to see his stack massively reduced. In the end Spencer knocked him out with K-K vs Q-Q and Blair had to settle for second place and £75,000.
