Manchester United is soon to be facing CFR Cluj in their final group game of the Champions League.
While Sir Alex Ferguson has said his side needs to improve defensively before the game, the club is still favourite to win.
Man U fans will find odds of 9/13 on a victory making them firm favourites. The best odds available on CFR Cluj are just 9/2.
Nonetheless, the team looked fragile in their 4-3 victory at Reading last weekend and so far they have conceded 32 goals this season.
Ferguson described it as “a worry” and seemed particularly concerned about the team’s match against Man City next week, “if we perform like that on Sunday then God knows what’s going to happen to us.”
Ferguson has said that Nemanja Vidic will not be playing against Cluj, nor against City on Sunday. According to Ferguson Vidic feels he needs “another few days’ training” before returning to the pitch.
Ferguson said that Vidic is “not far away. He’s training well not but I think another few days will bring him on better. If he doesn’t play tomorrow [Wednesday], there’s no chance he’ll play in the derby game.”
