This week Wales face France in the Six Nations and as assistant coach Shaun Edwards says, it is essential that Wales wins if the team wants to retain its Six Nations title. Having just about beaten Italy but then losing dramatically to Ireland, the pressure is sure to be on.
Luckily for Wales they are favourite to win the upcoming game with odds of 4/6, France is trailing significantly at 13/10.Speaking about the upcoming game Edwards said, “It’s going to be a big game. Obviously we are all disappointed with the performance last week, but we are still in the hunt. We know the France game is a must-win game for us if we are to retain our title. We went to Ireland having lost only one of the last 11 Six Nations games and not lost away for two years in the competition, so to lose by a score of that size was incredibly disappointing.”
France on the other hand is looking strong having beaten both England and Italy. However, Edwards remains confident in his team’s abilities, “France are very strong through the forwards and if we can win the battle on the advantage line and stop their maul, we will be in with a big chance.”
